Your tailor-made holiday will be as unique as you are. These itineraries are just a starting point – a bit of inspiration to show what’s possible. Your own trip all starts with a conversation with one of our Argentina experts, who’ll take the time to understand what matters most to you and design the perfect Argentina holiday to match.
Experience the dramatic contrasts in both climate and landscapes on this comprehensive circuit of Argentina’s northern half. This is a fantastic journey all year-round, including between June and September when the Patagonia region is in winter and many lodges are closed. We love the diversity of this tour. You arrive in tropical rainforest, move across to the dramatic arid desert peppered with giant cacti and rock formations, then head to lush vineyards for a glass of something delicious with a view over the Andean peaks, before a final stop in Argentina's chic capital, Buenos Aires.

Your adventure begins with an overnight flight from London to São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro. From there, you'll connect onwards to Foz do Iguaçu, the gateway to the mighty Iguazu Falls on the Brazilian side.
After touching down in Foz do Iguaçu, you'll head straight to the Brazilian side of the falls, where a network of walkways offers sweeping panoramic views over the plummeting water. Watch as water thunders over the cliffs and mist rises into the jungle canopy, the perfectly dramatic welcome to this incredible part of the world. Later, you'll cross into Argentina and settle into Puerto Iguazú, your base for the next two nights.
Today, you'll explore the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls, where a series of trails and walkways take you deep into the rainforest. You'll walk through lush jungle to reach Devil’s Throat, a breathtaking cascade where the water crashes down with immense force. The footbridge leading to the edge puts you right in the heart of the spectacle, how close will you dare to get?
You'll leave the falls behind as you fly west to Salta today, where the tropical landscape gives way to desert and mountain scenery. From here, you'll journey south into the stunning Calchaquí Valley, travelling through canyons and vineyards before arriving in Cafayate, Argentina’s renowned high-altitude wine region, for an overnight stay among the vines.
Today, your adventure takes you through the Calchaquí Valley, a land of rolling vineyards, rugged mountains, and striking red rock formations. You'll visit a quirky boutique winery, sampling the region’s famous Torrontés white wine over a relaxed and delicious lunch. This afternoon, you'll continue to Cachi, a picturesque adobe village with cobbled streets and colonial-era charm, where you'll spend the night.
This morning, you'll have time to wander Cachi’s charming main square, lined with whitewashed buildings and shaded by ancient trees. Later, you'll set off on a scenic drive through dramatic canyons and winding mountain roads, descending back into Salta. This evening, you'll explore the city’s historic centre, bustling plazas, and lively peñas (folk music bars) with your brilliant local guide.
Today, you'll head deep into the Andes on one of northern Argentina’s most scenic drives. Your journey takes you through striking landscapes to the Salinas Grandes, a dazzling expanse of pure white salt flats stretching to the horizon. You'll continue on to Purmamarca, a small village at the base of the Seven Coloured Hill, where the surrounding mountains are painted in incredible natural layers of red, pink, and ochre.
You'll fly from Salta to Mendoza today, a region famed for its Malbec wines and stunning Andean backdrop. When you arrive, you'll transfer to your hotel just outside the city, where vineyards stretch towards the mountains, and the pace slows to match the relaxed wine country lifestyle. It's the perfect spot to kick back, order a glass of something delicious and toast your adventure so far.
Today, you'll join a small group tour to explore the Luján de Cuyo wine region, home to some of Argentina’s most celebrated boutique wineries. You'll visit two distinct vineyards, learning about their wine-making process and sampling world-class Malbecs. Lunch will be served in the vines, pairing delicious local cuisine with perfectly matched wines.
Today is yours to enjoy Mendoza and its surrounding landscapes at your own pace. You might choose to borrow a bike and cycle the quieter vineyard roads, relax with a long lunch at a winery, or explore Mendoza’s charming city centre, where tree-lined streets lead to leafy plazas and inviting cafés. Just chat to us and we'd be more than happy to recommend our favourite options, there's a lot to pick from!
Another short flight brings you to your final stop today, Buenos Aires, Argentina’s cosmopolitan capital. You'll check into your hotel and have the rest of the day to relax and explore the city’s grand architecture, elegant boutiques, and thriving café culture at your own pace.
Today, you'll take a private guided tour to explore Buenos Aires’ many contrasts. From the modern waterfront at Puerto Madero to the elegant, Parisian-style boulevards of Recoleta and the colourful streets of La Boca, you'll get a real sense of the city’s rich history and lively spirit today.
Today is yours to experience Buenos Aires however you’d like, making sure you've soaked up the very best of the city before it's time to fly home. You could cycle through its quieter districts, take a guided food tour, or hop on a boat to explore the peaceful Tigre Delta. Let us know if you'd like to arrange an experience with one of our local guides.
You'll transfer to the airport today for your overnight flight back to London.

Holiday Architects, and in particular Louise, did a fantastic job organising our trip to South America. It was clear from our initial discussions that she has a detailed first-hand knowledge of the countries that we were planning to visit. Her help was invaluable in planning the trip to take in all of the places that we wanted to explore.

Finally I've got to write about our best holiday in our lives. Louise arranged everything according to our brief and listened from the first phone call. We loved Argentina and the service from Holiday Architects was impeccable. We thank Louise for making this holiday truly amazing and we are looking forward to work with her on our next trip.

We had almost 4 weeks in Argentina and Chile, mostly walking and cycling iconic trails, but also with city and wildlife visits. Holiday Architects arranged all the flights, accommodation, transfers, car hire, guides and local reps. All worked faultlessly, and every single day surpassed expectations (and we had high expectations). Both Patagonia, and HA highly recommended.

Louise has been phenomenal in planning and organising our holiday to Argentina as well as looking after us whilst there. Louise spoke to us over the phone to understand what we liked and preferences around travel, hotels etc. She suggested places we’re so glad we went – particularly the Salta region which was a revelation. All the flights, transfers and guides were organised and worked seamlessly. The hotels were great - mostly smaller boutique establishments and beautiful wineries. We now have a taste for Argentina and South America and will definitely use Holiday Architects again. Thank you Louise for making such a memorable holiday for us.

From the very first contact with Holiday Architects our experience has been flawless. Louise was our holiday planner for our 3 week trip to Argentina and we could not have asked for a better person. Louise is extremely knowledgeable about Argentina and her enthusiasm made the planning stage so much fun. A tailor made holiday is a more expensive option but it was very clear to us where our money had been spent and we visited places we’d never have thought about had we planned the trip ourselves. Overall, we were blown away by our trip to Argentina thanks to Louise and Holiday Architects. We would not hesitate to recommend them and we look forward to booking again.

Wonderful trip to Argentina. I asked Louise to design a holiday travelling from Mendoza through Salta across the Andes to the Atacama by road with a private guide – not a trip they have offered before. It all worked perfectly, we saw some beautiful places and had two terrific guides. Attention to detail was excellent throughout and thoroughly recommend this company.
