Your tailor-made holiday will be as unique as you are. These itineraries are just a starting point, a bit of inspiration to show what’s possible. Your own trip all starts with a conversation with our Argentina experts, who’ll take the time to understand what matters most to you and design the perfect Argentina holiday to match.
Our Argentina Express holiday is a brilliant way to experience three of the country’s standout highlights in one trip – without needing too much time to do it. From roaring waterfalls to tango-filled boulevards and sun-soaked vineyards, we’ve designed this itinerary to give you a real flavour of Argentina’s diversity, with a good mix of nature and culture and a little indulgence thrown in, too.
You’ll start in the tropical northeast at Iguazú Falls, where walkways wind through the jungle and lead you right to the edge of Devil’s Throat – an unforgettable introduction to Argentina’s wild side. Then it’s on to Buenos Aires, a capital packed with charm and character. Think grand boulevards, leafy parks, tango in the streets and more than a few excellent restaurants. A day trip into the Pampas offers a slice of traditional gaucho life, complete with an authentic asado (Argentine barbecue) in the countryside. From there, you’ll fly west to Mendoza, where the pace slows and the wine flows. Spend your days exploring boutique vineyards, sipping award-winning Malbecs and relaxing with views over the impressive backdrop of the Andes.
If you’re short on time but still want to see some of Argentina’s best bits, this is a fantastic route – classic, well-balanced and full of memorable moments.
Here's a summary of what you might get up to day-to-day on this Argentina holiday. As always, this is just an idea. Every single day of your holiday will be tailored to suit you.
Your Argentina adventure begins with an overnight flight from London to São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro, connecting onwards to Iguazu Falls.
You'll arrive in Foz do Iguaçu today, the gateway to Iguazu Falls on the Brazilian side. Walk along the panoramic pathways, taking in sweeping views of the thundering cascades before crossing into Argentina. Settle into Puerto Iguazú, where you'll be based for the next two nights.
Today, you'll explore the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls, where you'll follow the network of trails that wind their way through the rainforest. A highlight will be walking across a footbridge to Devil’s Throat, the most powerful and dramatic section of the falls, where water crashes down with an impressively deafening roar. Keep your camera handy for this one!
You'll fly south to Buenos Aires today, Argentina’s elegant and cosmopolitan capital. Packed full of wide boulevards, leafy parks, stylish boutiques and buzzing cafés, all ready to explore whilst the tones of tango fill the air. This is a city full of life and character and we've got all the insider tips you need to seek out the secret spots and local favourites.
Today, you'll head out to explore Buenos Aires with your very own private guide, discovering its many sides and hidden bits that are all too often missed. Wander along the sleek Puerto Madero waterfront, admire the Parisian-style architecture of Recoleta, and soak up the colourful, tango-filled streets of La Boca.
You'll escape the city today and head into the Pampas, Argentina’s vast cattle-ranching region, for your first taste of the rural side of the country. You'll visit a traditional estancia for an authentic glimpse of life in the countryside. Watch the gauchos at work before heading off to explore the historic town of San Antonio de Areco. Lunch is an authentic asado today (Argentine barbecue), a true local favourite not to be missed.
A short flight takes you west to Mendoza today, where vineyards and olive groves stretch towards the foothills of the Andes and some delicious wines await. You'll transfer to a hotel just outside the city, where you can kick back and relax for a few days in Argentina’s wine country.
Today, you'll join a small group tour to explore Luján de Cuyo, one of Mendoza’s most celebrated wine regions. You'll visit two distinct boutique wineries, where you'll have the chance to learn all about their process and sample a host of world-class Malbecs. Lunch will be served in the most beautiful setting among the vines, with carefully paired wines to accompany each dish.
Today is yours to soak up Mendoza’s relaxed atmosphere (and more wine, too, if you fancy). You might borrow a bike and cycle through the vineyards, take a long lunch at a winery, or explore the city’s tree-lined streets, plazas, and charming cafés.
Your Argentina holiday comes to an end today as it's time to start your journey home. First, you'll transfer to the airport for your flight from Mendoza back to Buenos Aires before connecting directly to your overnight flight back home.
