Posada Verde Oliva

Posada Verde Oliva makes a great value base for independent exploration of the Wine Valleys area. This is a small and personal posada is located in the middle of a small farm in the heart of Coquimbito, Maipu along the Wine and Olive Route. A 19th century property originally, it is a delightful small hotel only 16 kms from Mendoza city centre. The property is quiet and private and a great gateway to both the wineries closer to the city and to the Uco Valley further from the city where many other wineries are located.

There's a good size pool to enjoy a swim and they produce their own wines and olive oil on the estate. The main house – one of the most traditional in the area – is located next to the Inn. Guests are free to use the kitchen of the house, prepare themselves a cup of tea or an espresso (this is free of charge). The rooms are elegant and modern with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the gardens. They can arrange wine-tastings and bicycle rental also. This is a lovely, excellent value peaceful retreat whose staff are friendly and on hand but not intrusive. Breakfast is served here and dinner can be arranged by prior advance request.
