Your adventure starts with an overnight flight from London to Buenos Aires, Argentina’s sophisticated capital. The journey takes around 14 hours, so sit back, relax and anticipate the journey to come.
You'll touch down in Buenos Aires this morning. Settle into the city’s rhythm and unwind after your long journey. Once you're feeling refreshed, head out to explore the city's wide boulevards, leafy parks, stylish shopping districts, and vibrant café culture.
Today, you'll explore the city’s highlights and lesser-visited spots with your very own private local guide. From the sleek waterfront of Puerto Madero to the elegant avenues of Recoleta and the colourful streets of La Boca, there's a lot to discover here, and doing so under the guidance of a local will help you really get under the skin of Argentina's capital city.
It's time to take to two wheels today as you'll head off on a cycling tour through some of Buenos Aires’ quieter neighbourhoods. Ride from Puerto Madero to an ecological reserve, discovering a different and more peaceful side of the city.
You'll fly north to Salta today, a charming colonial city with a historic centre and lively main square. It's here that you'll meet your guide and set off on your private 4WD adventure through Argentina’s wildest landscapes.
Today, your adventure really begins as you drive through the Toro Gorge, a dramatic route that takes you from the green Lerma Valley into the high-altitude Puna. You'll continue through the surreal Labyrinth Desert, before reaching Tolar Grande, where you'll stay for two nights in rustic but comfortable accommodation.
You'll visit a historic mining town, set against a backdrop of towering volcanoes and vast salt flats at Salar de Arizaro. The landscapes today are truly spectacular, you'll want to make sure your camera is charged!
Today, you'll drive across the Arizaro salt flat to reach the desert oasis of Antofalla, where a small community of shepherds will welcome you for lunch. Along the way, look out for vicunas, llamas, and ostriches before arriving in El Peñón, your base for the next two nights.
You'll explore an enormous pumice stone field today, a bizarre and beautiful landscape sculpted naturally by volcanic activity. Later, pay a visit to Laguna Grande Reserve, a seasonal sanctuary where flamingos gather in vast numbers during the summer months.
You'll leave El Peñón behind and return to paved roads today, travelling through fields of native grasses before reaching the vine-covered valleys of Cafayate. Along the way, you'll pass through the spectacular Conchas Gorge, known for its striking rock formations. Tonight, you'll stay in Cafayate, the perfect opportunity to treat yourself to some of the region’s famous wines.
Your off-road journey through Argentina’s northwest comes to an end today as you travel back through the lush vineyards of Cafayate, arriving in Salta for a final night to relax and reflect on your adventures.
It’s time to say goodbye to the canyons and vineyards of the northwest as you fly from Salta to Buenos Aires today. This evening, you'll end your trip in style with a dramatic tango show, complete with a delicious dinner. The perfect farewell to your Argentina adventure.
It's time to head back to the airport today in time for your flight back home.

Holiday Architects, and in particular Louise, did a fantastic job organising our trip to South America. It was clear from our initial discussions that she has a detailed first-hand knowledge of the countries that we were planning to visit. Her help was invaluable in planning the trip to take in all of the places that we wanted to explore.

Finally I've got to write about our best holiday in our lives. Louise arranged everything according to our brief and listened from the first phone call. We loved Argentina and the service from Holiday Architects was impeccable. We thank Louise for making this holiday truly amazing and we are looking forward to work with her on our next trip.

We had almost 4 weeks in Argentina and Chile, mostly walking and cycling iconic trails, but also with city and wildlife visits. Holiday Architects arranged all the flights, accommodation, transfers, car hire, guides and local reps. All worked faultlessly, and every single day surpassed expectations (and we had high expectations). Both Patagonia, and HA highly recommended.

Louise has been phenomenal in planning and organising our holiday to Argentina as well as looking after us whilst there. Louise spoke to us over the phone to understand what we liked and preferences around travel, hotels etc. She suggested places we’re so glad we went – particularly the Salta region which was a revelation. All the flights, transfers and guides were organised and worked seamlessly. The hotels were great - mostly smaller boutique establishments and beautiful wineries. We now have a taste for Argentina and South America and will definitely use Holiday Architects again. Thank you Louise for making such a memorable holiday for us.

From the very first contact with Holiday Architects our experience has been flawless. Louise was our holiday planner for our 3 week trip to Argentina and we could not have asked for a better person. Louise is extremely knowledgeable about Argentina and her enthusiasm made the planning stage so much fun. A tailor made holiday is a more expensive option but it was very clear to us where our money had been spent and we visited places we’d never have thought about had we planned the trip ourselves. Overall, we were blown away by our trip to Argentina thanks to Louise and Holiday Architects. We would not hesitate to recommend them and we look forward to booking again.

Wonderful trip to Argentina. I asked Louise to design a holiday travelling from Mendoza through Salta across the Andes to the Atacama by road with a private guide – not a trip they have offered before. It all worked perfectly, we saw some beautiful places and had two terrific guides. Attention to detail was excellent throughout and thoroughly recommend this company.
