This sixteen-day adventure packs in the highlights and contrasts of Chile, making it an ideal trip for a first-time visitor.
The itinerary begins with time to catch your breath in a leafy neighbourhood of Santiago, a cosmopolitan city full of fascinating architecture and history, set against a dramatic mountain backdrop. Next stop is the remote Torres del Paine National Park for a chance to see outstanding glacier carved rock formations, windswept landscapes and the wildlife that roams freely throughout the area, from grazing llamas to the elusive puma. A world away in terms of experience, you'll next visit the colourful port of Valparaiso where you'll learn about the history and former grandeur of this once prosperous town. Head to the small town of San Pedro de Atacama to experience one of the driest desert landscapes in the world. To end on a high, your final night includes time for some well-earned relaxation in a boutique vineyard retreat on the outskirts of Santiago.

You'll leave the UK today on your overnight flight to Chile. You will arrive the following day into Santiago ready to begin your Chilean adventure.
Welcome to Chile! You'll be greeted by one of our friendly representatives and transferred into Santiago, a fascinating city full of history, impressive architecture and leafy parks.
Today you will have a private guide meet you for a tour of Santiago exploring the culture and heritage the city has to offer. Your could climb or take a gondola to the summit of San Cristobal for sensational views over the city and mountains.
Today you will be flying to the southern city of Punta Arenas, a travel time of around 3 hours. You will be met on arrival by your driver and head on a five-hour journey to the spectacular Torres del Paine National Park, your home for the next four nights.
You will spend three days exploring Torres del Paine National Park. Expert guides are on hand to help you explore the highlights of the park whether that is on foot, by car, boat or horseback. You could also embark on a full day hike to the base of the three granite peaks which tower over the park. The vase open landscapes of this national park are otherworldly; keep your eyes pealed for any wildlife roaming around and flying overhead.
Today you fly back to civilisation. On arrival, spend a couple of hours transferring to the vibrant coastal town of Valparaiso for a the next two nights.
Spend a morning with your guide exploring the colourful 'cerros' or hillsides of Valparaiso while learning about the history and culture of the area. Spend the afternoon at your leisure before your journey to the desert tomorrow.
You will be transferred to Santiago Airport for your flights to the vast Atacama Desert, where you will spend the next four nights.
You have three full days to explore the Atacama Desert. We recommend a visit to the spectacular Moon and Death valleys followed by a dinner in the charming adobe clay town of San Pedro de Atacama.
A sunrise trip to the Taito Geysers and bubbling mud pools, imposing volcanoes and ancient petroglyphs carved into the mountains is a another real highlight in the desert.
Fly back to Santiago and embark on the short transfer west into the winelands (around one hour journey). You will spend your final night in a boutique vineyard, the perfect way to end a truly memorable holiday.
It's time to head home. Transfer back to Santiago Airport for your overnight flight home.
