Your tailor-made holiday will be as unique as you are. These itineraries are just a starting point, a bit of inspiration to show what’s possible. Your own trip all starts with a conversation with one of our Morocco experts, who’ll take the time to understand what matters most to you and design the perfect holiday to match.
The south of Morocco tends to get the limelight, attention and recognition, but the north shouldn’t be overlooked. It has just as much to offer in the way of incredible ancient cities, sweeping landscapes and plenty of opportunities to unwind on the coast. We’ve designed this northern Morocco circuit to take you through three of the four ‘Imperial Cities’ – Rabat, Meknes and Fez, each rich with history and culture in its own way. You’ll also explore the fascinating port city of Tangier, long shaped by its chequered past and wander through the postcard-perfect, blue-washed streets of Chefchaouen, a real beauty of a town tucked away in the Rif Mountains. You'll visit the charming coastal town of Asilah, with its whitewashed walls, plenty of vibrant street art, and a lovely, laid-back feel that rivals better-known and busier Essaouira. If you want to dive a little deeper into a lesser-visited Morocco, this northern circuit around the country delivers just that.

Today, you'll fly into the cultural city of Fez, where you'll be warmly welcomed by your private driver, who will whisk you away to your hotel to settle in for the night. You'll be welcomed with fresh mint tea to drink whilst you enjoy the sunset and listen to the call to prayer across the city.
Today, you'll be immersed in the new and old areas of Fez on a private tour around this 9th-century golden city. The names can be slightly misleading, as even "New" Fez is 700 years old! Today, you will get the perfect introduction to Fez’s labyrinth of lanes, its most talked-about history and stories, and of course, explore what the city is best known for, its handcrafted leather industry.
Today, you will be given an immersive full-day tour around the Imperial City of Meknes, the Roman ruins at Volubilis, and the holy city of Moulay Idriss. You’ll enjoy a unique glimpse into the historic and present life of its gates, palaces, and the skills of local artisans in Meknes. You'll visit the expansive and untouched Roman ruins of Volubilis, where you can explore at your own leisure or trail behind your guide, learning as you go. Finally, end your day of historic adventures with a visit to the beautiful, holy city of Moulay Idriss.
This morning, your driver will collect you for a drive into the green-blanketed Rif Mountains, towards your two-night stay in the beautiful Chefchaouen, also known as the blue pearl of Morocco. On your travels, you'll pass through little Berber villages and over quiet streams, giving you a lesser-seen glimpse into Morocco's more rural landscapes.
Once you arrive in the stunning little city of Chefchaouen, it won't take you long to notice a wild difference from Fez. Walk around its blue-hued narrow streets, where you’ll bump into many locals in traditional colourful attire and discover little authentic shops and spice stalls. It really is a picture-worthy paradise and small enough to easily be explored on foot. For a beautiful sunset over the city, head to the top of the Spanish mosque for the best view.
Your journey continues today as you're driving on to the colourful coastal city of Tangier. On the way, you'll stop by the UNESCO World Heritage site at Tetouan to explore the old medina and gain a deeper glimpse into traditional Morocco with hints of Hispanic and Moorish architecture dotted around this multicultural city. You will stop off to enjoy lunch on Morocco's beautiful Mediterranean coast before heading to your Tangier hotel to settle down for the night.
Today, you'll be whisked away on a private tour of Tangier. You'll walk the historic streets of its ancient medina and get a real feeling for the city's heart. From chatting to friendly stallholders to exploring the highlights, your guide will bring it all to life for you. You’ll also visit Tangier's famous kasbah, the highest point in the city and the perfect spot to take in the views over the rooftops and beyond.
You'll head south along the Atlantic coast today towards the capital city of Rabat. We'd recommend stopping off at Asilah along the way, a small artistic fishing town. Take a walk through its medina quarters, admiring the street art and beautiful murals created by local artists. The coastal town perched on the edge of the Atlantic is the perfect place for a spot of lunch and a wander.
This morning, you'll head off on a tour of Rabat with a local guide. Completely different to the more chaotic cities of Marrakesh and Fez, Rabat is a city that boasts French influence and plenty of open spaces, wide boulevards and a rich cafe culture. You'll visit the medina and kasbah, the impressive Hassan Mosque that stands proud over the city and the ancient city of Chellah.
Today, your Morocco holiday comes to an end as you hop in your private transfer to either Rabat, Casablanca, or Fez Airport today, in time for your flight home.

An amazing trip, brilliantly planned. Emma from HA was fantastic. She understood what we were looking for from the start and planned us an unforgettable trip which kept both adults and teenagers happy, as well as exposed us to a huge expanse of Morocco in just two weeks. The trip to the Sahara was the highlight, a memory which will last forever. Highly recommend HA and will definitely ask them to help with future trips.
