Your tailor-made holiday will be as unique as you are. These itineraries are just a starting point, a bit of inspiration to show what’s possible. Your own trip all starts with a conversation with one of our Morocco experts, who’ll take the time to understand what matters most to you and design the perfect holiday to match.
When picturing Morocco, it's easy to conjure up images of the searing heat of the Sahara Desert, hot days on sandy beaches and seeking shade in the city souks. What might surprise you, though, is that with a climate very similar to that of southern Europe, Morocco makes a great winter holiday destination. With cool but often pleasant weather between the months of November and February, you probably won't be in shorts and a t-shirt during a winter break in Morocco, but it will be cosy, romantic and inviting – think warming fireplaces, quiet and peaceful markets, and snow-capped mountains in the distance.
We’ve designed this itinerary to take you on a journey through southern Morocco (the more clement part of the country!) Starting in the seaside town of Essaouira, before heading up into the mountains, then spending a night under the endless stars in the wilderness, and finishing in Marrakesh, a city made even more alluring without the throngs of tourists that descend upon it in spring. This Morocco holiday is perfectly suited to a couple looking for a tranquil break. We’ve filled it with magical experiences that will get you right to the heart of Morocco, and packed it with all of those juicy low-season offers you can’t help but love. As always, this is just designed to give you an idea of what could be possible during your winter holiday to Morocco. Chat to us and we’ll tailor-make an adventure that’s perfectly 'you'.

Your adventure begins when you touch down at Marrakech Menara Airport, where your private driver will be waiting to whisk you off on the three-hour drive to your hotel on the breezy and beautiful coast of Essaouira.
Today, you’ll take your time exploring Morocco’s coastline. There's no need to rush here. Spend hours wandering the streets of the medina and get your hands on some locally made argan oil. For a moment of calm, you may want to take the scenic coastal route with a walk to the historic ramparts to glimpse the ancient cannons or relax around the port for a picture-perfect view by the water.
This morning, you'll step into a beautifully restored former almond warehouse for one of our favourite Essaouira cooking classes. Your local chef will welcome you with a smile and guide you through every step of preparing an authentic Moroccan meal. After cooking up a storm, you'll sit down to enjoy the fruits of your labour in a wonderfully ambient oriental lounge with your host.
You'll be met by your driver this morning, ready to head off on the four-hour drive up to the Atlas Mountains. Here, you’ll swap city streets for mountain cliffs on your journey towards the foothills. Trust us, this drive is half the fun, and there will be ample opportunities to stretch your legs, take in the views, and snap a few pictures to capture the moments along the way.
Today you’ll set out for a full-day walk through the Ouirgane Valley, taking in the beautiful hillside and watching traditional Berber farmers at work in this remarkably fertile hideaway. You'll get a real slice of rural Morocco at its most authentic today as you wander through fruit orchards and Berber villages for a closer look at its culture and land. This day out includes lunch, and it’s around five hours of walking at an easy/moderate level. Just chat to us if you'd prefer something less or more challenging.
Your day begins with a drive to your luxury tented camp in the Agafay Stone Desert, a wonderfully unique alternative to the vast Sahara. You'll live like a nomad for the day, taking a walk through the desert with the 'blue men', experiencing what it's like to ride a camel (or a horse!) as the sun sets, before settling in for a romantic and unforgettable dinner under the stars.
Today, it's time to fly home after an incredible winter break in Morocco. We hope you'll be flying home with a newfound love for this incredible country and the people who call it home.

An amazing trip, brilliantly planned. Emma from HA was fantastic. She understood what we were looking for from the start and planned us an unforgettable trip which kept both adults and teenagers happy, as well as exposed us to a huge expanse of Morocco in just two weeks. The trip to the Sahara was the highlight, a memory which will last forever. Highly recommend HA and will definitely ask them to help with future trips.
