Day 1
Fly to Vancouver today and settle into this vibrant city. Spend the evening at your own pace, perhaps exploring the lively waterfront, enjoying the local cuisine, or simply relaxing in preparation for the adventure ahead.
Day 2
Spend the day exploring Vancouver, with plenty of options to suit your interests. Stroll through downtown to discover its shops, restaurants, and iconic sights, or head to the nearby Capilano Suspension Bridge Park to see the magical winter lights. Alternatively, take a relaxing walk along the seawall or visit one of the city’s renowned museums or galleries.
Day 3
Hop on board the bus today as it takes you into the mountains along the stunning Sea-to-Sky Highway. Be sure to grab a seat on the left side for breathtaking views of Howe Sound, with its dramatic coastal scenery and fjord-like beauty. The route takes you higher into the mountains, arriving in Whistler, your alpine home for the next few days.
Days 4-5
Immerse yourself in the winter wonderland of Whistler, where you’ll have two full days to enjoy a range of activities. Take your pick from exciting adventures like dog sledding, skiing, or snowmobiling, or unwind with a soak in a jacuzzi surrounded by snowy mountain views. Whether you’re seeking adrenaline or relaxation, Whistler has something for everyone.
Day 6
Transfer back down to Vancouver along the scenic Sea-to-Sky Highway. Once back in the city, board The Canadian for an overnight train journey through the mountains to Jasper. Settle into your cabin and take in the stunning landscapes of British Columbia. As night falls, drift off to the gentle rhythm of the train, surrounded by the peace of the Rockies.
Day 7
Arrive in Jasper this morning and step into a snow-covered wonderland. Spend the day exploring the charming mountain town, with its cosy cafés and boutique shops. Later, head out on a wildlife-watching excursion to spot some of the amazing animals that call this winter wonderland home, such as elk, deer, or even wolves. Wrap up the day with a hearty meal and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Day 8
Venture out today for a memorable winter hike through Jasper’s frozen canyons. Marvel at the ice formations, frozen waterfalls, and snow-covered cliffs as you explore this unique landscape. This is a chance to experience Jasper’s natural beauty up close, surrounded by the calm of the winter wilderness. Return to town to relax and warm up after your adventure.
Day 9
Travel along the iconic Icefields Parkway, one of the most scenic drives in the world, as you make your way to Lake Louise. Admire the snow-covered peaks, frozen waterfalls, and expansive glaciers that line this beautiful drive. Upon arrival at Lake Louise, take in the stunning sight of the frozen lake surrounded by towering mountains and settle in for an unforgettable evening.
Day 10
Spend the day soaking up the beauty of Lake Louise. Glide across the frozen lake on ice skates, take a leisurely winter walk, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings. In the late afternoon or evening, transfer to Banff, where you’ll settle in and prepare for the next stage of your winter adventure.
Day 11
Enjoy a wonderful day in Banff, starting with a relaxing soak in the Banff Upper Hot Springs, surrounded by snowy mountain views. Spend the afternoon warming up by firepits, sharing stories, and sipping hot chocolates. Take the time to unwind and embrace the cosy charm of this iconic winter destination.
Day 12
Spend another day exploring the wonders of Banff. Choose from a variety of activities, such as snowshoeing through forest trails, visiting the Banff Gondola for panoramic mountain views, or browsing the local shops and galleries in town. In the evening, enjoy a delicious meal at one of Banff’s cosy restaurants and soak up the charm of this winter wonderland.
Day 13
Transfer from Banff to Calgary, taking in the scenic views along the way as you leave the Rockies behind. Once in Calgary, spend the evening exploring this vibrant city. You might choose to visit one of its excellent restaurants, stroll through the downtown core, or simply relax and reflect on your memorable Canadian adventure. Stay overnight in Calgary before your journey home.
