Half Day Whitewater Rafting Adventure

This is a thrilling half-day whitewater experience on the Elaho and Squamish Rivers, south of Whistler. This action packed adventure will take you through some stunning scenery whilst you throw yourself through class III and IV rapids. You are in safe hands with your professional guide who, in quieter moments, will also tell you a bit about this beautiful wilderness area. The half day trip lasts around 3.5 – 4 hours and is an ideal for experienced or novice rafters. Depending on water levels you’ll also have the option to swim through some of the smaller rapids. No experience is required, just a sense of adventure! You can make your own way to the rafting base, about a 45 minute drive from Whistler or a complimentary transfer can be arranged. Note that pre-arranged transfers include a number of pick-ups and can take between 1 - 1.5 hours in each direction.

Whistler - Ideas for Free Time

You don’t have to search too hard to find things to do here — activities abound in every corner of this lively town. For adventure enthusiasts, there’s a wide range of options: mountain biking, ziplining, white-water rafting, tubing, paragliding, and ATV or 4WD tours, to name just a few. If you prefer to explore on foot, the surrounding mountains offer numerous walking trails, and the Peak 2 Peak Gondola provides a thrilling ride to dizzying heights with spectacular views. If you have time, a couple of cultural attractions are well worth a visit. The Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre was the first centre dedicated to the history and culture of the local Indigenous peoples. It highlights two distinct First Nations groups—one coastal and one inland—offering a fascinating insight into their unique traditions and ways of life. Meanwhile, the Whistler Museum gives an overview of the modern-day development of this bustling resort, including its evolution into a snow sports hub. It features exhibits on the 2010 Olympics and historical imagery of people enjoying the slopes here.

Zipline Adventure

This is the original Whistler zip-lining experience – a two-and-a-half hour adventure which takes you high over Fitzsimmons Creek and amongst old-growth rainforest close to Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. This tour features five ziplines and four treetop bridges and whilst exhilarating is suitable for families or anyone who hasn’t zip-lined before. You guide will ensure you safely negotiate the course as well as share interesting facts about the environment and point out the best views and any wildlife that might be passing above or below.

Finer Things Dinner Tour

This culinary walking tour is an excellent way to experience some of Whistler’s finest dining establishments, whilst exploring the bustling streets of the Village. During the tour you will be taken to four award-winning restaurants and enjoy a different course at each. You will also visit an impressive 15,000 bottle wine cellar where you can try your hand at the ceremonial way of opening a champagne bottle with a sabre! You will learn about the history of Whistler, its food scene and each of the locations you are visiting, and expert wine pairing can be added locally for an additional cost (approximately $35 per person).
