Day 1

Fly from the UK to Amman, where you'll be met and transferred to your Amman hotel for a three night stay.

Day 2

Begin the day with a tour of the capital before heading off to visit Jerash, the Classical city which is almost as impressive as Petra.

Day 3

You spend time today really getting to know the north of the country, including Ajloun Castle and Forest Reserve, as well as Umm Qais, another ancient city dramatically located with views over the Sea of Galilee.

Day 4

You head down part of the King's Highway today, stopping at Madaba to admire the famous mosaics and Mount Nebo where you can admire the 360 degree views. Check into your Dead Sea hotel where you spend the next two nights.

Day 5

At leisure to relax by the pool, take some spa treatments or perhaps visit the nearby site of Christ's baptism at Bethany-on-the-Jordan.

Day 6

After visiting the Panoramic Complex or walking the Siq trail of the Wadi Mujib gorge and visiting the famous Crusader castle of Kerak, you arrive at the Dana Nature Reserve for a nights stay.

Day 7

With your guide you walk down the dramatic canyon, Wadi Feynan, to the amazing Feynan Eco-lodge, also run by the RSCN. If you've time and energy you can explore the old copper workings and Byzantine settlements in the area.

Day 8

You continue down to Petra today, stopping to visit the Crusader castle of Shobak. You then continue to Little Petra for a taster of things to come. Spend three nights in a Petra hotel.

Day 9

You have a tour of the ancient city of Petra today, beginning along the Siq Canyon, to the Treasury Tomb and through the heart of the site to the huge Qasr El Bint temple.

Day 10

Head back into the site under your own steam today to explore at your leisure. Take in some of the churches near the main street, or for the active, head up to The Monastery or Place of High Sacrifice. For the adventurous there's the option to leave via the Tunnel Siq.

Day 11

After a leisurely morning, you head in to the Wadi Rum for a tour of the canyons, rock bridges and red sands of this mystical place with a local Bedouin driver. Overnight at a fixed camp in the desert.

Day 12

Leaving the Wadi Rum you have a leisurely drive down to Aqaba where you spend your final three nights.

Day 13

As well as the chance to relax by the pool or on the beach today, you can also visit the small Crusader fort on Pharaoh's Island.

Day 14

A final day to relax and enjoy your surroundings.

Day 15

You have a transfer to Aqaba Airport today for your flight onto Amman, connecting back to the UK
