Your tailor-made holiday will be as unique as you are. These itineraries are just a starting point, a bit of inspiration to show what’s possible. Your own trip all starts with a conversation with one of our Malaysia and Borneo experts, who’ll take the time to understand what matters most to you and design the perfect holiday to match.
This classic three-week journey through peninsular Malaysia and Borneo brings together all our favourite highlights – a brilliant mix of culture, nature, wildlife and beach time. It’s the kind of trip where every few days offers something completely different, from historic towns to tropical jungles and idyllic islands.
You’ll start in Penang, with its colourful streets and rich food scene, before heading up into the Cameron Highlands to hike among misty tea plantations and lush forest trails. Then it’s on to Kuala Lumpur for a taste of the capital’s buzzing markets and skyline views, before flying over to Sarawak on the island of Borneo. Here, the focus shifts to wildlife and adventure. You'll be exploring jungle rivers and spotting orangutans, monkeys and birdlife along the Kinabatangan River and in the remote Danum Valley, one of the most biodiverse corners of the planet. After all the action, you’ll slow things right down on the beaches of Gaya Island, soaking up the tropical sunshine before a final city stop in Singapore on your way home.
If you're looking for a holiday with variety, warmth and a real sense of discovery, this journey through Malaysia and Borneo ticks all the right boxes.
