Borneo Rainforest Lodge

Set within the heart of the primary rainforest of Sabah, Borneo Rainforest Lodge offers the epitome of jungle indulgence. A backdrop of pristine forest, the rustic lodge sits along the Danum Valley with one of the finest vistas you can imagine. Home to an abundance of wildlife, Danum Valley is considered one of the best spots in Sabah for spotting wild Orangutans. Lucky guests may even spot the resident male ‘King’ walking through the lodge, or herds of Pygmy elephants trekking the jungle trails.

The boutique jungle escape offers 31 rooms and visitor numbers are limited to reduce the environmental impact. Accommodation is in wooden chalets dotted in the jungle around the lodge, whilst the newer modern deluxe rooms and private villas are set along the river. Air-conditioning is offered in the newer rooms only, as well as private jacuzzi baths or dipping pools. For the most luxurious escape the riverside villas offer full butler service and a prime location for wildlife spotting from the comfort of your expansive terrace. Facilities at the lodge include an open-air lounge bar, well stocked gift shop and terrace restaurant serving sumptuous meals buffet style.

We recommend a minimum 3 night stay to get the most out of the lodge at a relaxing pace and enjoy trails that are lesser trekked by other guests, though 2 nights is an option at a faster pace.
