Your tailor-made holiday will be as unique as you are. These itineraries are just a starting point, a bit of inspiration to show what’s possible. Your own trip all starts with a conversation with one of our Borneo experts, who’ll take the time to understand what matters most to you and design the perfect Borneo holiday to match.
We've designed this Borneo and Singapore family holiday to take in the very best of cosmopolitan Singapore, before whisking you off to soak up all of the wildlife wonders of Borneo's jungles. In Singapore, you'll explore the iconic landmarks of Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay, taking plenty of time to sample some of the delicious world-class food on offer. We've designed this holiday with family fun in mind, so there's a day of adrenaline at Universal Studios squeezed in to get the kids' ears pricking up! Once your heart rates return to normal, it'll be time to venture into the heart of Borneo, discovering the mystical rainforests of Sepilok, where orphaned orangutans roam freely. Travelling from Singapore to Sepilok usually involves two flights - one to Kuala Lumpur and then one onwards to Sandakan. If you'd prefer to split the journey over two travel days then it could be a good option to stop for a few nights in Malaysia's bustling capital, Kuala Lumpur. Just chat to us about what might suit you and your family best, and we'll do the rest.
From the Orangutans in Sepilok, to the wildlife spotted along the Kinabatangan River, there are so many opportunities to experience the impressive biodiversity of Borneo's wildlife on this holiday. Encounter proboscis monkeys, pygmy elephants, and exotic bird species in their natural habitat, keeping your eyes peeled around every river bend. At the end of this family holiday, we've planned in a few days on the idyllic beaches of Kota Kinabalu, where golden sands and incredible views are the perfect backdrop for relaxation and family beach fun. There are vibrant markets, cooking classes and local communities to explore too if you want to break up the R&R a little. There are a few different options for the beach break, you might choose to split your six nights on the beach between Kota Kinabalu on the mainland and the tropical paradise of Gaya Island, or spend it all in one spot - just let us know what you think would suit you best.
Below is a summary of what you might get up to day-to-day on this family Borneo family holiday. As always, this is just an idea. Every single day of your holiday will be tailored to suit you.
