Your tailor-made holiday will be as unique as you are. These itineraries are just a starting point – a bit of inspiration to show what’s possible. Your own trip all starts with a conversation with one of our Borneo experts, who’ll take the time to understand what matters most to you and design the perfect Borneo holiday to match.
We'd say the perfect Borneo holiday includes a combination of wildlife safaris along majestic rivers, trekking trails through ancient rainforests in search of wild orangutan and strolling along stretches of white sand beaches lapped by crystal clear waters. And this itinerary has it all. Begin your adventure in the bustling metropolis of Kuala Lumpur, where the iconic Petronas Towers and vibrant street markets bursting with so many local tasty treats await.
Venture into the heart of nature with a visit to Sepilok, home to the renowned Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. Here, you'll have the chance to watch these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat and learn about ongoing conservation efforts. Next up, you'll cruise along the Kinabatangan River, immersing yourself in the lush rainforest teeming with wildlife and plenty of exotic flora and fauna. Keep your eye peeled, you might just encounter proboscis monkeys, pygmy elephants, crocodiles, macaques and an array of bird species along the way.
Your journey finishes up on either the shores of Gaya Island or the magnificent beaches off Kota Kinabalu, where white sand and turquoise waters offer the perfect spot to relax for your last days.
Here's a summary of what you might get up to day-to-day on this Borneo holiday. As always, this is just an idea. Every single day of your holiday will be tailored to suit you.
