Hotel Vendaval

Located within the central foodie neighbourhood of Puerto Natales, the charming Hotel Vendaval is just a short stroll from the citys attractive waterfront. The building is designed around a 1940s Patagonian house, with the majority of the rooms and communal areas housed within a contrasting modern building. The hotel is full of character, with rattan lamps, soft furnishings, and wall hangings designed by Chilean and French artists; similarly, a huge effort has been made to incorporate local materials, such as wool from the surrounding area and six types of native wood, into the hotels furnishings. The 23 rooms are fairly compact, but each features a tasteful design and warm, homely feel, with soft, luxurious bedding and colourful fabric throws. Views are best from the third floor where you can see over to the channel, mountains, and glacier. Unusually for Chile, the Vendavals Wi-Fi is refreshingly reliable and can even be accessed in the rooms and attractive rooftop terrace. Importantly, the hotel offers exceptional value for money, making it one of our favourite hotels in Puerto Natales.
