Essaouira’s only true resort hotel, M’Gallery Le Medina is a great option for those who want lots of facilities, the sort of facilities that smaller, more charming hotels and riads can’t offer. There’s a pool, as well as a section of beach with a beach club (offering wind surfing and sailing), and there’s a spa specialising in thalassotherapy, three restaurants and two bars. The rooms are a reasonable size and very elegantly furnishing in European décor with dashes of Moroccan style. So if you’re looking for a relaxing, self-indulgent time in Essaouira and aren’t too fussed about being in the medina then this hotel is a great option.
