Day 1
Fly from the UK to Amman, where you'll be met and transferred to your Amman hotel for a three night stay.
Day 2
Spend the morning touring Jerash, the Classical city which is almost as impressive as Petra, before moving on to Ajloun to see the Arab castle, and to Umm Qais, another ancient city dramatically located with views over the Sea of Galilee. If you are looking for something different in Umm Qais, then instead of the ancient site, why not join in one of the cultural activities such as beekeeping, olive picking etc.
Day 3
Begin the day with a tour of the capital, before heading out to a relatively unknown and intriguing temple called Iraq Al-Amir, where there is also the chance to visit a local women's collective.
Day 4
You head down the King's Highway today, stopping at Madaba to admire the mosaics, Mukawir to see where Salome danced for the head of John the Baptist, and Kerak, arguably the most imposing and impressive Crusader Castle in the Middle East. Check into your Wadi Rum Camp where you spend a night under the stars.
Day 5
After breakfast, you have a jeep tour with a local Bedouin around the canyons, rock bridges and red sands of this mystical place. After your tour you head into Petra for three nights, first stopping in Little Petra to get a taste of things to come.
Day 6
You have a tour of the ancient city of Petra today, beginning along the Siq Canyon, to the Treasury Tomb and through the heart of the site to the huge Qasr El Bint temple.
Day 7
Head back into the site under your own steam today to explore at your leisure. Take in some of the churches near the main street, or for the active, head up to The Monastery or Place of High Sacrifice. Or for a more unique return into Petra, take the path less travelled with an expert guide from Little Petra to the Monastery.
Day 8
Leaving Petra, you head back north driving along the shores of the Dead Sea, via the informative Panoramic Complex, where you spend the final two nights of the tour. For those interested, the Carbo Farm house in Madaba is a worthwhile stop to learn more from Jordan, than just its past.
Day 9
At leisure to relax by the pool, take some spa treatments or perhaps visit the nearby site of Christ's baptism at Bethany-on-the-Jordan.
Day 10
You have a transfer back to Amman Airport today for your flight back to the UK.

Everything we do is tailor-made; our itineraries are just suggestions to give you an idea of what is possible. Please contact us so we can tailor the perfect holiday exclusively for you.

This itinerary will form the basis for most trips to Jordan as it’s been designed to cover all the major highlights, as well as to include a few less well-known sights that take you off the standard tourist trail. Beginning in the north of the country, you explore Amman and then visit Jerash, Ajloun and Umm Qais. If you do not wish to visit the site of Umm Qais, we recommend experiencing one of the many cultural activities instead such as beekeeping, olive picking, and cooking classes, to name but a few. Just speak to your specialist and they will pick the appropriate activity based on your interests. You then work your way south along the King’s Highway to the spectacle of the Wadi Rum. After a morning jeep tour through the desert, you enter the magical city of Petra, where you have two full days to explore, yes you need two days here and you’ll thank me on your return. On the way to the Dead Sea where your trip ends with a relaxing few days, you may wish to stop on route at the Carob Farm where you are shown how they are working with nature to grow nourishing food and then celebrate this with an artisanal meal.

3 nights Amman – 1 night Wadi Rum – 3 nights Petra – 2 nights Dead Sea
