This afternoon tour takes you on a gentle walk through the main Arenal Volcano national park where you will explore the well-marked trails with a specialist guide, looking for some of the flora and fauna to be found in the surrounding forests. You will also see evidence of the devastating 1968 eruption and reach the edge of the old lava flows. After your tour you will be driven to the Ecotermales complex, four kilometres outside the centre of La Fortuna. The tranquil forest setting here makes it a wonderful place to soak your limbs in a series of thermal pools, a particularly atmospheric experience as night falls. A simple but hearty dinner is also included in your entrance ticket.
