Lantern is a beautiful six-room boutique hotel located on a wonderful stretch of coast known as Kamburugamuwa, not far from Weligama Bay and Mirissa. Its location is particularly important, as it’s just 20 minutes from the Matara Exit of the new highway that runs directly from Colombo, making it very easy to get to and from.

The six rooms are spread between three different categories: Classic Rooms, Ocean View Suite and Garden Suite. The Classic Rooms and Ocean View Suite are located on the first floor and from their balconies enjoy glorious views of the ocean. The Garden Suite is large and is nestled within the ocean front landscaped gardens. Each rooms is beautifully designed with polished concrete floors, fine crafted furniture and luxurious bathrooms.

The main dining area is downstairs; it overlooks the pool, garden and sea and has an open kitchen. Food is a real highlight here with Executive Chef, Sumith, creating simple and elegant cuisine from across the globe. We feel this is a fantastic small boutique property with direct access to an idyllic beach.
