Excursion Overview
If time and budget allow, the opportunity to return to Machu Picchu on a second visit can be a great way to further contemplate the site in the atmospheric early morning light and walk to viewpoints you may not have covered the previous day. You may wish to visit the Watchman’s Hut for example, with its sweeping views, or a take a longer hike out to the Sun Gate (original entrance to Machu Picchu and where those trekking the Inca Trail still arrive from).
