La Posada

La Posada is a lovely hotel that offers really great value for its beautiful location, close to Villa La Angostura, a great spot for exploring the beauty and nature of the Lakes District only a short drive north of Bariloche. Expect a cosy lodge with a distinctly alpine feel, typical of the area and traditional furnishings that have recently had a bit of a facelift, making it a good mid-range choice now. This is a much simpler style of property than some of its flashier, luxury lodge neighbours in Angostura but it has all the location without the price tag and a great pool and terrace overlooking the lake with views to die for. Head out on lake excursions from their own lakeside pier and explore walking trails and the national park from this great value base.

Only half the rooms have a lake view with the other half facing the gardens and all are perfectly well proportioned with decent facilities. There’s a really lovely outdoor deck with seating and the pool on a high terrace overlooking the lake and cosy lounges with well chosen local art work and a fireplace to relax in front of, with the lake views right there. Fishing, riding, white-water rafting, water skiing and wind surfing can be organised locally.
