The key to relaxation in Morocco is the riads, converted traditional townhouses that are now luxury, boutique hotels. Nearly all of them have hammams (like a sauna) and spas, so you can soothe away any aches, pains and stresses. If you’re looking to relax, it’s best not to travel around too much and really give yourself time to unwind in each destination. Marrakesh and Essaouira combine well to this effect, and if you wanted a similar experience, but with fewer tourists, and Rabat and El Jadida combine well – and Rabat has numerous flights to/from the UK now so a trip like this is easily arranged.
