Your tailor-made holiday will be as unique as you are. These itineraries are just a starting point – a bit of inspiration to show what’s possible. Your own trip all starts with a conversation with one of our Cambodia experts, who’ll take the time to understand what matters most to you and design the perfect Cambodia holiday to match.
Wild Cambodia is the trip for those who want to dig a little deeper. This 14-day adventure blends iconic sights with remote corners, wildlife-rich experiences, and a big dose of nature. It’s a journey into Cambodia’s wilder side, with a few well-earned moments of comfort along the way.
You’ll begin in Siem Reap, where ancient temples rise from the jungle and life hums around the edges of Angkor Wat. From there, it’s on to the floating villages of Tonle Sap Lake before heading east to Kratie, where you’ll cycle through island villages and drift down the Mekong in search of rare Irrawaddy dolphins. Next up, you'll head up into the highlands of Mondulkiri, home to forest-covered hills, crashing waterfalls, and Cambodia’s indigenous Phnong communities. A visit to the Elephant Valley Project is one of the trip’s most memorable moments. Spending time with rescued elephants in a setting where their well-being comes first is unforgettable. Then it’s time to loop back to Phnom Penh for a moving look at Cambodia’s recent history, followed by a well-deserved break on the beaches of Koh Rong. We've left the final few days free for whatever takes your fancy. Choose to spend them snorkelling in turquoise waters, tucking into fresh seafood, or simply enjoying the peace and quiet.

Wave goodbye to the UK today as you board your overnight flight to Siem Reap. Flights can also be arranged from other destinations, or we can tailor the trip without international flights if you prefer. As always, your holiday is yours alone, so chat to us about what would suit you best.
Welcome to Cambodia! After touching down in Siem Reap, you’ll be met by your guide and transferred privately to your hotel. We've left the rest of the day free for you to relax, unwind, and settle in after your journey.
This morning, you’ll head off with your guide to explore the communities living on and around Tonle Sap Lake. Drive through rice fields and rural villages before hopping on a traditional wooden boat to cruise past floating houses and stilted villages. You'll enjoy lunch with a local family – a great way to experience real Cambodian life – before returning to Siem Reap for an afternoon at leisure.
You’ll start early today with a visit to atmospheric Ta Prohm, where jungle roots twist around ancient ruins. From there, explore the grand city of Angkor Thom, including the Terrace of Elephants and the serene, smiling faces of Bayon Temple that seem to follow you with their gaze as you wander about. In the afternoon, it’s time to explore the spectacular Angkor Wat. With its detailed carvings and iconic lotus towers, it's a true highlight of any Cambodia holiday.
Say goodbye to Siem Reap this morning and head east across the country. Stop to explore the UNESCO-listed ruins of Sambor Prei Kuk, one of Cambodia’s most important pre-Angkorian temple complexes. After lunch, continue to the riverside town of Kratie and take a short boat ride to peaceful Koh Trong Island, your tropical base for the night.
Today, you’ll explore Koh Trong by bicycle, passing local farms and pomelo orchards before visiting a small Vietnamese floating village. In the afternoon, travel along the Mekong River to Kampi, the best place to spot rare Irrawaddy dolphins. You’ll take a small boat out onto the river and, with luck, get a glimpse of these elusive creatures up close.
Hop back across to the mainland and travel into Cambodia’s least populated province, Mondulkiri. With its rolling hills, remote villages, the impressive Bou Sra Waterfall and strong tribal culture, this is a totally different side to Cambodia. After checking in, the rest of your day is free to relax or explore.
Today, you’ll spend a memorable day with the team at the Elephant Valley Project. After a short transfer, you’ll head into the forest to observe rescued elephants roaming freely in their natural habitat. You’ll learn about their backgrounds and the conservation work being done to rehabilitate them. It's a very special day in the wild, one we really recommend including in your Cambodia holiday if you have the time.
This morning, you'll pay a visit to a Phnong tribal village where you'll have the chance to learn all about traditional ways of life. Then it’s on to Bou Sra Waterfall, the largest in Cambodia, followed by a stop at a local coffee plantation. Finish your day at the ‘Sea Forest’ viewpoint, it's a stunning spot for photographs, where the rolling green hills stretch as far as the eye can see.
You’ll leave the highlands behind today as you travel to Phnom Penh. Stop for lunch in Kampong Cham and, if you’re feeling brave, you can sample a few of Skoun’s famous snacks (that might just include spiders). You’ll arrive in the capital later today and check into your hotel.
This morning, you’ll visit two of the capital’s most important sites – Tuol Sleng Prison and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek. It’s a sobering day but such a vital experience during your trip. It'll offer you a powerful insight into Cambodia’s recent history and the incredible resilience of its people. The Cambodian smile will mean so much more to you after today. We've left this afternoon free for you to relax or explore the city further at your own pace.
Today you’ll head south to the coast. After a transfer to Sihanoukville, you’ll catch a speedboat across to the island of Koh Rong. Settle into your beautiful beach hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, perhaps with your toes in the sand and a cocktail in hand.
The next two days are yours to enjoy the island paradise of Koh Rong. Whether you want to snorkel, explore by kayak, or simply lounge on the beach with a book, this is the perfect way to end your Cambodia adventure.
It’s time to head home today. You’ll take a speedboat back to the mainland and transfer to Phnom Penh Airport for your flight back to the UK. Holidays are always over a little too quickly for our liking, we wouldn’t blame you if you’re already planning your return!

What You're Saying
“
We have just returned from a wonderful trip to Cambodia and Vietnam. Our destination Manager was Lisa Jankus-Scott who patiently organised and re-organised our itinerary whilst we changed our minds and plans - more than once! She gave us some really helpful advice too, supported by further valuable information from HA. We had been recommended to HA by a friend and very glad that we were.

We had THE BEST holiday we could have wished for! Literally everything was sooo interesting and fun and we were so well looked after both in Cambodia and Vietnam. Both our local guides were absolutely brilliant! They were always on time, so friendly and super enthusiastic about their respective countries. They were very happy to share fascinating facts about their culture, their families, their day to day lives and we learnt so much more than we could ever have found out had we travelled alone. Thank you Fenton for all your hard work and support. We shall be saving up and hopefully using Holiday Architects again!

Not long back from a wonderful trip to Cambodia. Lisa from HA was a great help in tailoring the holiday to our requirements and everything went very smoothly with the local guides and drivers through Exo travel. We stayed in some lovely boutique hotels particularly memorable in Siem Reap, Battambang and the Cardamom mountains where the service and friendliness of the staff was excellent without being obsequious. Thoroughly recommend HA.

Thank you Lisa for organising what I can only say was an amazing holiday. From the moment we were greeted at Siem Reap airport to leaving 18 days later it was faultless. The guides were great -informative, helpful and clearly passionate about their beautiful country . The itinerary was perfect -history , culture, food tasting , jungle, glamping on floating tents , beach . There was not one part we would have changed but highlights were the early morning cycling through the temples at Angkor, Vespa street food tour, elephant sanctuary, Cardamom mountain tented camp ( night trek) and finally arriving at Pagoda beach to relax. This holiday was to celebrate my 60th birthday and thanks to you for making it so special and memorable.

The whole booking process was really good with Lisa very quickly understanding our aims for the holiday. We wanted to see "real life" and the various trips including the Vespa street food experience in Siem Reap and the local bike tour in Battambang, amongst others hit the mark. The guides we had were excellent with good English and local knowledge. The guides too were great with stopping at local markets etc. All the arrangements, flights, transfers , hotels etc went without a glitch the whole trip. Highly recommended.
