Day 1

Fly to San Jose today. You will be met at the airport and driven to your elegant plantation hotel in the Central Valley.

Day 2

Recover from the journey today in the serene surroundings of the Central Valley. Relax by the pool, explore the grounds or arrange a tour to a nearby coffee plantation.

Day 3

Today you will travel to Bajos del Toro, home to one of Costa Rica's most luxurious cloud forest retreats.

Day 4

At leisure in El Silencio - nature walks can be taken in the pristine cloud forest trails here, you could book a spa treatment or simply relax in your private Jacuzzi listening to the sounds of the birds.

Day 5

Free time in El Silencio - the hotel can arrange activities such as zip lining, trekking to waterfalls and traditional ox cart painting.

Day 6

Depart the cloud forest for your hotel in the Arenal region, famous for its perfect conical volcano.

Day 7

Today we have included a tour to the Arenal 1968 Reserve, a lesser visited volcanic park with beautiful scenery. You will then travel to a hot springs complex to soak your limbs in thermal pools.

Day 8

Free day to arrange activities in Arenal to suit your own interests. For wildlife lovers we recommend the superb day trip to the Cano Negro refuge, or if you would prefer some adventure we can organise zip lining, rafting, mountain biking or stand-up paddle boarding.

Day 9

Travel to Manuel Antonio today and your hotel overlooking the central Pacific coastline.

Day 10

Take a tour of the beautiful Manuel Antonio National Park, a great place to spot sloths, squirrel monkeys and huge lizards basking by jungle-fringed beaches.

Day 11

Free day in Manuel Antonio to relax on the beach or by your hotel pool.

Day 12

Transfer to San Jose for your flight back to the UK.
