A quiet refuge in central Hanoi, The Lapis Hotel is one of the newest 4 star hotels offering charming accommodation and a rooftop swimming pool. Just a ten minute stroll from Hoan Kiem Lake, this beautiful hotel is a great find in the city and a perfect spot to explore the museums, temples and shops in Hanoi. Back at the hotel you can also unwind in the health club or dine at the sumptuous restaurant, where a delicious breakfast is also served daily.

The 70 rooms offer accommodation to suit a range of budgets, from superior rooms with city views to the expansive suites, as well as interconnecting rooms ideal for family groups. We like to avoid  the standard rooms due to the inward facing windows (common in Hanoi), but if you are looking for low budget with a pool, they are perfectly suitable for a short stay in the city. Each room blends a classic style with modern facilities including air-conditioning, flat screen TVs, mini bar and en-suite bathrooms. The linens are soft and the duvets plush, making for a cosy nights sleep in the heart of Hanoi.

The staff are professional and gracious and the only downside we can find is that the pool area is small, so can get a little crowded. Great for a dip and a cool down, but sun worshippers would be best placed in a larger hotel.
