You'll leave the gloomy UK behind today as you hop on your overnight flight to Vietnam. Your flight will arrive the following day, ready for your adventure to begin.
Welcome to Saigon! After landing, you'll be met at the airport by our friendly team on the ground and whisked off to your hotel in the city. The rest of your day is yours to relax, acclimatise, and settle in after your journey. You can simply take it easy at your hotel, enjoying the pool and gardens, or head out to explore the town at your own pace, soaking up its local markets and getting your first taste of the street food. We'll be sure to arrange a guaranteed early check-in for early arrivals, so you can freshen up before exploring.
Discover the vibrant heart of Saigon on an expertly guided half-day city tour today. Your tour will include visits to the historic Reunification Palace, the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office as well as the bustling Ben Thanh Market. And your local guide will be sure to give you plenty of first-hand insights about life in the city along the way. This evening, we've included tickets for the AO show at the Saigon Opera House – an epic and unforgettable performance showcasing the unique culture of the country.
After a day of exploring Saigon at your own leisure, tonight you'll have a real treat in store for you. Set off in the early evening for an exhilarating vintage Vespa tour through the lively streets of Saigon – travelling like the locals do! Ride pillion through hidden alleys, sampling sizzling Banh Xeo, fresh seafood, coconut ice cream and all the local favourites with your guide. This is our team’s favourite activity in Vietnam – a truly thrilling culinary journey that we're sure will be a real highlight for you.
This morning, you'll leave Saigon behind for a scenic 3.5-hour drive to Can Tho. Here you’ll be warmly welcomed aboard your Bassac boat, ready for your one-night overnight cruise on the iconic delta. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about the fascinating way of life on the banks of the river, whilst enjoying the charming Vietnamese hospitality aboard your boat. It really is such a special way to experience what day to day life is like outside of the cities.
Disembark your boat this morning and head to the airport for your short flight to Phu Quoc Island. This island paradise sits just 45km from the southern coast of Cambodia, but still retains its Vietnamese charm. The island offers a whole host of accommodation options, and we'll be able to help you decide which would be best suited to you. Check in, ready for five nights of R&R, the rainy UK weather a distant memory.
The next few days are at leisure for you to enjoy however your heart desires. Relax on Phu Quoc's pristine beaches, take plenty of dips in the turquoise waters and sip plenty of cocktails under the swaying palms. If you fancy a break from the sunlounger, you could head off to explore some of the island's local markets, visit a pepper farm, try your hand at night squid fishing or head off on a boat trip.
It’s time to begin your journey back to the UK today. You’ll take a short regional flight back up to Saigon ahead of your overnight flight to the UK – time to bottle up some sunshine to take home and start dreaming about your next adventure.
