Welcome to Saigon! You'll be met at the airport by our friendly team on the ground and whisked off to your family-friendly hotel in the city. The rest of your day is yours to relax, acclimatise, and settle in after your journey. You can simply take it easy at your hotel, enjoying the pool and gardens, or head out to explore the town at your own pace, soaking up its local markets and getting your first taste of the street food. We'll make sure an early check-in is arranged for early arrivals. 

Spend the day exploring Saigon as a family today. This evening you have a real treat in store for you... as you'll set off on an exhilarating vintage Vespa tour through the lively streets of Saigon – travelling how the locals do! Ride pillion through hidden alleys, sampling sizzling Banh Xeo, fresh seafood, coconut ice cream and all the local favourites with your guide. This is our team’s favourite activity in Vietnam – a truly thrilling culinary journey that we are sure will be a real highlight for you.

A history lesson awaits today as you'll head off on an insightful excursion to the Cu Chi Tunnels, just outside Saigon. Discover this vast underground network used during the Vietnam War, where you’ll learn about its history and strategic significance. Explore the tunnels (if you’re brave enough to go in!), hidden traps, and exhibits, offering a fascinating glimpse into Vietnam’s wartime resilience.

You'll leave Saigon behind today as you're whisked off to the airport for your short flight north to Nha Trang. What awaits you is a three-night beach escape on the beautiful coastline, with sun-kissed beaches, vibrant nightlife and luxurious accommodation to enjoy. You can choose to stay in the busier central beach area if you're keen to experience the vibrant nightlife of the area and the plethora of local eateries. Alternatively, you may opt for one of the hotels on the more isolated & tranquil Ninh Van Bay, where the chaotic side of Vietnam feels an absolute world away.

The next few days are yours to do as you please. The Nha Trang region is blessed with deep, warm waters all year round, and is surrounded by coral seabed, archipelagos, islands, mountains and beaches all ripe for exploring. It's a great spot for some scuba diving or snorkelling if you fancy it. Or, just laze away the days with beach fun and quality family time in the sunshine.

Today, you'll hop on a short flight north towards the enchanting city of Hoi An. Lantern-lit streets, riverside charm, yellow-washed walls and timeless architecture welcome you. As you will have just come from the beach in Nha Trang, we recommend staying in the Ancient Old Town in one of the many charming boutique hotels amidst the action. But, you might opt to have another beach stay instead, which is only a 10-minute drive away from the centre of the Old Town. So, whichever you prefer, you won’t miss out on the charm of this colourful spot.

Set your alarms early this morning for your paddleboarding (or kayaking) adventure at sunrise. This experience will take you just outside of Hoi An to rural Cam Thanh on the Thu Bon River, where you’ll pick up your equipment and make your way across to Palm Island. During your water sport experience, your guide will explain how the palm forests provide locals with fish, shells and Nipa leaves – commonly used for roofing on homes. This is an experience that all the family will love.

You'll set off this morning for a delightful countryside experience, exploring the rural landscapes of Hoi An by bicycle. Enjoy a leisurely ride through water-coconut groves, lotus ponds, and seasonal rice paddies, an idyllic slice of Vietnamese village life. Your journey takes you to a thriving organic vegetable garden, a 6,000-square-metre community project supporting 14 local families. Learn about traditional farming techniques and, depending on the season, try your hand at planting, weeding, or harvesting alongside the farmers. Afterwards, enjoy a 20-minute ride in a traditional woven basket boat, gliding along a gentle river to a charming local restaurant nestled amid rice fields. Here, relax with a delicious Vietnamese lunch before returning to central Hoi An in the early afternoon.

Continue north today with a short flight to Vietnam’s capital city, Hanoi. When you arrive, check into your hotel and head out to explore the city at your own pace as a family. You could fill your afternoon by visiting the local markets, taking a stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake, or flitting between hidden cafés and street food gems in the Old Quarter. Of course, if you'd like a little more structure, we can recommend plenty of family-friendly adventures to fill your time.

Today, we've arranged a really fun tour for you, all about capturing the hidden beauty of Hanoi – we're sure this will keep the teenagers happy. Your guided tour will begin at Hoan Kiem Lake, a lively centre of morning activity. As the walk progresses through the streets and hidden alleys, you'll find yourselves at a traditional street market, offering insight into Hanoi’s day-to-day life, and plenty of opportunities to observe and photograph daily interactions. This tour is designed for photographers of all skill levels, including those with smartphones, so it's perfect for all the family!

Your day starts with a 2.5-hour transfer to Halong Bay today. When you arrive at the pier, you’ll be welcomed by your brilliant crew and checked in for your overnight cruise. Head up on deck to enjoy a delicious lunch as your boat begins its gentle cruise into the bay. The afternoon offers time for kayaking to hidden beaches, squid fishing, Tai Chi or just simply marvelling at the natural beauty of the landscape around you. As evening falls, you'll anchor in a quiet cove to enjoy a delicious dinner as the sun sets. Raise a glass to your family adventure before heading back to your cabins for a peaceful night on the water.

It’s time to begin your journey back to the UK today. Wake up to the fresh morning on the bay and enjoy your onboard breakfast before heading back to dry land. Disembark and meet with your guide for the transfer back to Hanoi airport in time for your flight home. If you're not flying until later, we can include the use of a central hotel to give you the opportunity to freshen up ahead of your overnight flight to the UK.
