The Anise is a great little 3 star hotel located on Quan Thanh Street, close to one of the city’s best parks (Hang Dau) and within easy walking distance of Hanoi’s fascinating Old Quarter. It’s a reasonably small hotel with only 42 charming rooms – conventional, clean and comfortable. The likelihood is that you will benefit from very attentive and personal service, as the team take pride in getting to know the guests even if only staying a couple of days.

One of the best features of the hotel is the small restaurant located high on the 11th floor, serving good quality Vietnamese food and some western dishes. It is the panoramic views of the Old Quarter, the parks and The Red River that makes it so special. Other facilities include a small fitness centre, a café / bar and business centre. In our opinion this is one of the best of the (many) smaller budget ’boutique’ style hotels in Hanoi, made exceptional by its location on the edge of the Old Quarter, with a myriad of small bars and restaurants within striking distance.
