Set in a beautiful converted mansion with manicured gardens, the museum houses an impressive range of artefacts, pottery, mummies, jewellery and textiles which – when put into context by an expert guide – give a fascinating overview of Peru’s history, including the intriguing ancient civilisations that preceded the Incas.
