Upper Humber Settlement B&B

Hotel overview

Upper Humber Settlement B&B is a warm, eco-minded farm-stay on a working homestead near Cormack, set in the forest around 15 minutes from Deer Lake Airport. It’s a lovely choice if you want something with a real sense of place and a bit more meaning behind the stay, combining relaxed Newfoundland hospitality with a regenerative, small-scale setting that feels quietly removed, but still convenient for arriving or moving on through the region.

Accommodation is simple and comfortable, with eight rooms across a few different styles, ranging from king and queen rooms through to more compact options with shared facilities. The Moonlit Loft is the standout if you’d like something a little more special, with a king bed, a large tub and a private balcony for starry evenings. The Sunset Suite has a queen bed and a shower-only bathroom, while the Quaint Quarters and Green Gardens rooms are smaller, each with a double bed and a shared bathroom, best suited if you’re happy keeping things straightforward.

Breakfast is included and served in your room, which adds a really nice, cosy touch to the mornings, and WiFi and parking are included too. If you’d like to turn it into more of an experience rather than just a place to sleep, there’s also an optional farm-to-table storytelling dinner that can be pre-booked, a four-course meal using locally sourced ingredients, paired with stories about the Pioneer War Veterans who settled the land less than a century ago.
