Champetre County

Hotel overview

Champêtre County is a fun, family-run, western-themed stay in rural Saskatchewan, just east of Saskatoon, and it’s a great option if you want something informal and full of character rather than a standard hotel. It’s got a rustic, country feel with a lively, slightly festive atmosphere, so it works especially well as a one or two-night stop to break up a longer drive, or as a quirky overnight if you’re travelling with kids and want somewhere that feels a bit different.

Accommodation is spread across a mix of rooms and cabins, with around 14 options in total, so there’s a bit of flexibility depending on who’s travelling. The Saloon Guest Room is a simple choice with a queen bed and balcony, while the Saloon Honeymoon Suite is larger and comes with its own private deck overlooking the garden, which is a lovely perk if you’re after something a touch more private. Eaton’s House offers a more “little cottage” layout, with two rooms upstairs (each with a double bed) and a living room on the main floor, making it a good fit for families who want a bit of shared space. Bishop’s Cabin is a cosy, couples-style option with a queen bed, fireplace, private deck and a shower-only bathroom, while the Four North Cabins are geared more towards groups or families, with a practical bunk-bed set-up and a mix of single and double beds.

There isn’t an on-site restaurant, but you can arrange breakfast, lunch and dinner menu options in advance, which is handy if you’d rather keep things easy once you arrive. WiFi and parking are included, keeping the logistics straightforward while you enjoy the rural setting and the western-themed charm.
