The Palace Downtown is a luxurious city option, with a Middle Eastern theme running through the property - mixing traditional Arabian architecture and Bedouin-style interiors with a contemporary and classic twist.

All rooms and suites have a private balcony that boast wonderful views of the Old Town, Burj Lake or Dubai Fountain. We recommend booking a fountain-view room so that you can watch the dramatic fountain display from your balcony each night.

The swimming pool area is a particular highlight, overlooking the Burj Khalifa, and with an open-air lounge that luxurious drapery and soothing music- worth a visit on an evening for an enchanting '1001 Arabian Nights' atmosphere.

There are five onsite restaurants of a high standard, but you are also within walking distance to numerous other eateries in the area, including those in Dubai Mall which will accommodate all budgets. The property is also directly connected to the Souk Al Bahar, meaning shopping and refreshments are literally on your doorstep.

Dubai Walking Food Tour

This afternoon at 4pm you will be met at the Al Fahidi Metro Station by your local guide, and for the next few hours you'll be taken on a delicious culinary walking tour of the city. Stroll through the cobbled streets of older neighbourhoods passing traditional and curios stores with your informative and entertaining guide. Away from the 5-star restaurants, experience this vibrant area by sampling dates, samosas and Arabic sweets, and passing fresh fish trading shops. You will learn about local culture whilst visiting the textile souk, a traditional abaya store and an oud perfume shop, before finally stopping for a meal and fruit mocktail at a classic street food canteen-style restaurant, considered as a hidden gem of the city. The guide will then leave you to enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure.

Sunset Desert Safari

This afternoon you will head to the desert with an experienced safari guide in a 4-wheel drive shared vehicle to the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve. Stop to watch a falcon display and then head for the sands to experience a thrilling dune drive. Enjoy watching a breathtaking desert sunset with a photo opportunity from the top of a dune. At a Bedouin-style camp await traditional Arabian activities such as henna artists and stargazing, and you'll be able to sample sumptuous Arabic mezzes and eat a barbecue buffet dinner. Relax after dinner with an Arabic coffee, before being driven back to your hotel. Please note that modest dress and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah Jeep Safari

Today you will take an off-road adventure on a trail through Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, taking in sites such as Fossil Rock, where many of the fossils there are said to be over 90 million years old! You will see the fascinating archaeological sites at Mleiha, and can marvel at the rugged beauty of Wadi Shakwa pools. Discover ruins and traditional farmlands near Wadi Helo during an easy hike with your local guide. Stop for a picnic lunch after enjoying the scenic views around the sleepy fishing village of Kalba, which boasts the oldest mangrove forests in Arabia on its southern borders. Please note this is a full day tour and modest dress and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Modern Dubai City Tour

This morning you will be picked up from your hotel (between 7:30-9am, but Arabian Adventures will confirm this directly with you), and taken on a fascinating city tour of modern Dubai. Begin with a 20 minute boat ride around Dubai Marina, where 200 towers rose up in under 10 years. You'll then head to the infamous Palm Jumeirah, a powerful engine of Dubai's economic growth, followed by a stroll along The Walk promenade. From there you will have a fantastic photo opportunity of the Burj Al Arab, the seven-star hotel with its sail-like appearance. Sure to be a highlight of your morning, you will then visit Dubai's most iconic building, and the World's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. Included is a ticket up to the observation deck on the 124th floor, where the views across the city are incredible. The tour will then end at Dubai Mall next door, where you'll be left to browse its many leisure, shopping and dining options. A modest dress code and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
