Excursion Overview
Today you will take an off-road adventure on a trail through Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, taking in sites such as Fossil Rock, where many of the fossils there are said to be over 90 million years old! You will see the fascinating archaeological sites at Mleiha, and can marvel at the rugged beauty of Wadi Shakwa pools. Discover ruins and traditional farmlands near Wadi Helo during an easy hike with your local guide. Stop for a picnic lunch after enjoying the scenic views around the sleepy fishing village of Kalba, which boasts the oldest mangrove forests in Arabia on its southern borders. Please note this is a full day tour and modest dress and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
