Day 1

Fly to San Jose today. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel for the night.

Day 2

Travel into the Tortuguero National Park today by road and boat, with a stop for breakfast en-route. You will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge and an afternoon excursion to Tortuguero village.

Day 3

Enjoy a nature walk in the jungle as well as a guided boat safari in search of wildlife along one of the canals of Tortuguero's lush flooded forest.

Day 4

Depart Tortuguero today by boat and road. After a stop for lunch you will travel on to Arenal Volcano region.

Day 5

This morning visit the Arenal Volcano national park and then take a relaxing soak in some nearby hot springs.

Day 6

Today you will visit a superb cloud forest adventure centre to try some of Costa Rica's best zip lining. You will also be able to explore the canopy walkways and view the cloud forest from a different perspective.

Day 7

Today take the scenic transfer from Arenal to the Monteverde Cloud Forest. This evening you will be collected for your night tour in the Monteverde reserve, to look for the creatures of the cloud forest after dark.

Day 8

This morning take a guided tour to discover the flora and fauna of the Monteverde Reserve. You will then visit some cloud forest canopy walkways and you can try zip lining if you are feeling adventurous!

Day 9

Travel to the Northern Pacific coast to complete your holiday with a few days of relaxation on the beach.

Day 10

Relaxing on the beach.

Day 11

Relaxing on the beach. If you find yourself getting restless you could organise activities such as horse riding or a visit to one of the nearby national parks.

Day 12

Transfer to the international airport today for your flight back to the UK.

Day 13

Arrive home today.
