Your journey begins at the upmarket Yacht Club in Sandakan where you will board your speedboat into the Lower Kinabatanagan Segama Wetlands. The hour-long adventure takes you through the internationally important wetland with an undisturbed ecosystem home to rare, endangered and threatened species including Proboscis Monkey, Borneo Pygmy Elephant, Oriental Darter and Rhinoceros Hornbill. Arriving to the lodge you will be met by the welcoming staff who will escort you to your chalet nestled within the trees. Accessible by wooden walkways the spacious rooms are tastefully decorated and offer exceptional jungle views from the large windows. Indoor and outdoor bathrooms feature in all rooms, as well as powerful air-conditioning units and private balconies. The perfect place to spot the local wildlife and relax between the excellent river safaris included as part of your stay.

A selection of tasty local and western dishes are served up in the central restaurant. Buffet style meals keeps the choice fresh and varied daily. By night you can relax in the reading area within the restaurant, play games in the entrance lobby or listen to live music performed by the talented staff. As with most lodges on the river, Wifi is limited but with so much wildlife to spot and a serene location, we found it never to be a problem.
