Rambagh Palace is a magnificent, opulent and completely indulgent 79 room restored palace enveloped by luminous gardens. Its history goes far back; it was once the home of the queen’s favourite handmaiden as well as a royal guesthouse, a hunting lodge, and later the residence of the Maharaja. In 1972 Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces took over Rambagh and turned it into the spectacular hotel it is today. It’s regarded as one of the finest heritage hotels in India and an unparalleled 5* experience. The 70 rooms are divided into six categories: Luxury Rooms, Palace Rooms, Historical Suites, Royal Suites, Grand Royal Suites, and Grand Presidential Suites. The rooms are divine, but the suites are much grander with large spoiling four-poster beds draped in luxurious fabrics. The sheer size of the property allows for a plethora of facilities, including both indoor and outdoor pools, a range of boutiques, a spa, and a fine dining restaurant. The Polo Bar and the glorious terrace provide an ideal place for pre or post dinner gin and tonic.
