Mihir Garh

Mihir Garh is a modern and indulgent nine-suite fort, perched on a sand mount in the Thar Desert, approximately 60km from Jodhpur. Completed in 2009 by Sidharth and Rashmi Singh (who also own neighbouring Rohet Garh), Mihir Garh has taken western luxury to a new level in this part of Rajasthan. The nine suites bring the outside in; they are spacious with adjoining sitting rooms that are decorated in soft earthy colours. The whole place feels slightly Moroccan in design. All suites, apart from Black Buck, have private courtyards and infinity plunge pools on their desert facing verandas. The food is good and varied, offering both western and Indian cuisine. There’s also a spa, a cookery workshop, horse riding, and nearby villages that can be explored. Mihir Garh is a magnificent desert retreat and perfect for those looking to indulge.

Ideas for your free time

There are numerous activities available at Mihir Garh that, at an additional charge, can be booked directly on arrival or in advance through us. Activities include horse riding in the Thar Desert to see antelopes, camels and wild peacocks.  Other options include a visit to local Bishnoi villages, a two-hour cookery workshop, as well as a visit to local working temples. If horse riding is a priority we highly recommend booking it in advance through us.
