Hotel overview

Amalinda Lodgeis a unique lodge and a firm favourite place to stay in the Matobo Hills. With its unique rock architecture and its many years of experience it is a must for the safari enthusiast who is looking for more than just a wildlife experience. Quirky, imaginative and unique the lounge, library, fire pit and dining area have been crafted into the side of a hill and spill out over a number of different levels. Accommodation is set in and around huge boulders. There are nine rooms in total three standard, three suites and three family rooms each individually decorated. There is alsoan infinityswimming pool built into the rock to relax and cool off in.

Activities are many and varied and with prior warning can be tailored to specific requests. Game drives, walks, hikes, San rock art site visits, tracking rhino and cultural visits to nearby homesteads are to name a few of the activities on offer. We highly recommend spending a day with Paul Hubbard, a renowned archaeologist and historian in this area, to learn the history of the Matopos region.

Note:Due to there being a number of steps Camp Amalinda is not ideal for guests who have difficulty walking.
