The Residence

The Residence is a 32 hectare complex built amidst gradually establishing gardens on a beautiful stretch of beach. Villas are designed to a high standard and the facilities and activities on offer are extensive including an impressive spa, beachfront (slightly quirky glass-fronted) infinity pool, kids club, gift shop, fitness centre, tennis court, water sports centre and entertainment schedule.

The villas are impressively large, light and airy (if a little devoid of character) and come with separate living room and a private deck with reasonable sized plunge pool - perfect if you want a little quiet chill time. Although one of the larger hotels we work with on the island, at 66 rooms in total set in such large grounds, there is still a sense of space and in terms of five-star accommodation that offer a broad range of facilities, this is one of the most classy options on Zanzibar.
