Sasakwa Lodge

Sasakwa forms part of a collection of properties owned and run by Singita. The manor house style lodge is without doubt the most opulent safari property in Tanzania with a price tag to match. Located in the Grumeti reserve, part of the Serengeti Mara ecosystem, the views of the Serengeti plains from this commanding position are fantastic. There is definitely a feel of refined splendour and old-world elegance, dating back to the days of the great explorers, but make no mistake every comfort is tended to meticulously. There is an impressive swimming pool, full gym, tennis court, impressive spa, boutique gift shop and gallery as well as a tv room with satellite coverage, WiFi and 24-hour electricity in all of the rooms.

There are ten cottages of varying sizes to suit couples and families and each comes with all of the grandiose that you would expect from a lodge with such a high price tag including a private infinity pool with each room. This level of luxury is not provided anywhere else in Tanzania, most dont try and achieve it, is it worth the 1500.00 per person per night? That will depend what you consider value for money and what your budget and tastes might be. We cant help being impressed although it is difficult not to be!
