Somewhere Inn Calabogie

Hotel overview

Somewhere Inn Calabogie is a relaxed, boutique country stay in the Ottawa Valley, set on a hilltop surrounded by forest with wide views over Calabogie Lake and the valley beyond. It’s about an hour west of Ottawa, so it works really well as an easy escape from the city, with a more outdoorsy feel, and it’s also well positioned if you’re planning activities like rafting, with OWL White Water only around 45 minutes away.

Rooms have a cosy, cabin-inspired style, with just 11 in total, so the whole place feels small and personal rather than hotel-like. All rooms are air-conditioned and come with either a king bed or two queens, plus the practical basics like a coffee maker, mini fridge and hair dryer. Most rooms also have a fireplace, which adds to the snug, country-inn vibe, and all rooms are shower only. One thing that’s quite refreshing is that there are no TVs in the guest rooms, so it naturally leans into a slower pace, think lake views, a drink in hand and an early night after a day outside.

If you’re travelling as a family or group, the Somewhere Suite is the big option, set up with a king bed, two queen beds and two twin bunk beds, although it doesn’t have a fireplace. WiFi and parking are included, keeping everything straightforward while you enjoy the views, the fresh air and that laid-back Calabogie feel.
