Farouche Tremblant

Hotel overview

Farouche Tremblant is a wonderfully calming, design-led stay in the Laurentians, set right by the gates of Mont-Tremblant National Park. It’s all about switching off in nature without losing that contemporary, minimalist feel, with four-season access to hiking, lake time and winter activities, and the northern base of Ski Tremblant only a few minutes away for extra services and things to do.

Accommodation is kept intentionally small and simple, with just seven A-frame micro-chalets. Each comes with a king bed, a sofa, coffee maker and mini fridge, plus underfloor heating and a gas fireplace to keep things cosy when the temperature drops. Outside, you’ve got your own patio with a fireplace (firewood included), along with a barbecue and picnic table, so it’s very easy to spend the evening outdoors and lean into the “wilderness retreat” vibe. One thing to note is that the chalets don’t have air conditioning, and bathrooms are separate from the cabins, usually a 15 to 60 second walk. Premium cabins have their own private, hotel-style bathroom, while standard cabins use a semi-private full bathroom. There are also Duo Cabins, two cabins sharing one bathroom, which works well for 3 to 4 people travelling together.

The wider site adds a lot to the experience, with a Nordic farm, a café-bar, a seasonal local market, beach access, trails, lawn games and a library, plus yoga equipment on hand if you fancy a slower morning. You can also rent paddleboards and electric fat bikes for an extra cost, and each night includes WiFi, parking, buffet breakfast, and 60 minutes of Nordic Bath access per night, which is a brilliant way to end a day outside. If you’re travelling as a young family, it’s also possible to add a third person aged 0 to 8 to a Premium Micro-Chalet (sharing the king bed), with pricing on request.
