Your tailor-made holiday will be as unique as you are. These itineraries are just a starting point, a bit of inspiration to show what’s possible. Your own trip all starts with a conversation with one of our Botswana experts, who’ll take the time to understand what matters most to you and design the perfect holiday to match.
This busy itinerary allows visitors to fully explore two of Botswana's most renowned wildlife hot spots in a relatively short space of time. Travelling by light aircraft flights to cover the Chobe National Park and Linyanti Wetlands in detail, these minimise transfer times and provide a fantastic bird's eye overview of the unique habitats of northern Botswana. Visiting the two most enticing areas of Chobe and two different Linyanti camps, you will experience a wonderful diversity of scenery and animals during your Botswana safari adventure.
Here's a summary of what you might get up to day-to-day on this Botswana holiday. As always, this is just an idea. Every single day of your trip will be tailored to suit you.
Your Botswana adventure begins with an overnight flight from London to Johannesburg.
Board a connecting flight to Kasane, taking roughly two hours. Here you will be greeted and transferred to the waterfront for a two-night stay. You can enjoy a variety of activities here, setting out for your first game drive this afternoon.
Enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing activities around Chobe, including exploring the national park on game drives and taking a river cruise to watch elephants, buffalo and antelope come to the water.
This morning's activity ends at Kasane airport for a light aircraft flight to the Savute area. Here you will be picked up and transferred for a two-night stay at your lodge, in time for an afternoon game drive.
Morning and afternoon game drives take in Savute Marsh and the now re-flowing Savute Channel. The interaction between lion and elephant is a fascinating Savute wildlife spectacle, while the kopjes provide a great habitat for leopard.
Today's light aircraft flight takes you to the heart of the Linyanti Wetlands. For the next two nights, the focus will be on exploring the wide open plains by vehicle to find the highest possible numbers of wildlife. Short walking safaris are possible in the Wetlands at certain times of year, offering a different perspective on the extensive flora and fauna.
Today's game drive travels to the north of the reserve, where camp resides in a far lusher riverside environment. This will be your base for the next two nights, and the area is an absolute hotbed of wild dog traffic. River activities here are enticing, with fishing and serene evening boat cruises both possible.
The morning activity ends at the airstrip for your light aircraft transfer to Maun. From here, it's a short international flight to Johannesburg and an overnight journey home.
