Trinco Blu by Cinnamon

Previously known as the Chaaya Blu, Trinco Blu by Cinnamon is a restored 1970’s resort, which was completely transformed in 2010.  It’s now a clean and contemporary 81-room hotel with gleaming white walls, polished cement floors, crisp white sheets and gem coloured soft furnishings. The main area is home to a long glistening pool, a PADI certified dive centre, and several restaurants. The property sits on a beautiful beach just a few miles from Trincomalee. We feel that despite it being large and fairly simple, that it’s one of the best options in an area devoid of good mid-range hotels.

There’s three room categories to choose from: Superior Rooms, Deluxe Rooms and Suites. The Superior Rooms are a good size, enjoy fantastic ocean views and have king-size beds. The Deluxe Rooms are located so that you can walk straight out to the beach. Larger are the Suites; these have a separate living and sleeping area with breath-taking views of the ocean.
