The Mercure Iguazu Hotel Iru is a relatively new property in the Iryapu jungle area, surrounded by untouched forest, along with a few other properties. It’s a great location, being only a 20 minute drive from the Falls national park and the airport and it also offers some good value rates for a comfortable contemporary hotel. The Hotel was designed to blend into the surrounding natural environment. This effort not only produced an aesthetically beautiful building, but it also helped to reduce the environmental impact of the construction work.

It is on the larger side with 100 rooms but the facilities are good and rooms feature natural materials and warm colour schemes with balconies looking out on to the jungle and the lagoon. There are two restaurants and two bars offering some great variety on site without having to go into town and local flavours are offered with a modern twist. There is an area designed for fitness & wellbeing where guests are invited to relax body and mind, enjoying the forest view while chilling at the Jacuzzi. Two swimming pools, including one for children and a Kid’s Club make this a great solid choice for families.
