Thonga Beach Lodge

The adventure at Thonga starts when you arrive at the Coastal Cashew Factory. Here you’ll abandon your two-wheel drive car and be collected in a 4x4 for the drive through the coastal forest, along the shore of Lake Sibaya, arriving at the coast where the lodge is nestled in the forest mere yards from the start of the white sand beach. It’s a truly isolated and beautiful spot. The rooms are designed to make the  most of the views and the environment, so they are open and spacious, and cooling coastal breezes are encouraged to blow throw them. Earthen walls, thatched roofs, reed walls and delicate mosquito nets all create a wonderful African beach ambience. Ocean rides, snorkelling, scuba diving, bird watching and wilderness walks through the jungle are all on offer, or alternatively you can just relax at the lodge, soaking up the tranquillity of this beautiful setting.
