Tucked onto a hillside overlooking Kandy, Elephant Stables is a lovingly restored colonial home. Adigar Sir Cuda Ratwatte, a Ceylonese nobleman and one of few Sri Lankan’s to receive a British knighthood, originally owned the property and it’s been passed through many hands since. Now a beautiful and stylish boutique hotel, the glorious history and old world charm is evident throughout the house.

Located just 15 minutes along a private road from the centre of Kandy, Elephant Stables provides a wonderful retreat after a day exploring the cultural highlights of the city.
