Genovesa, or 'bird' island, is one of the prettiest and most impressive islands in the Galapagos. Boats usually sail through the opening in the huge caldera, and approach the curved white sand bay of Darwin's Bay. Here you are inundated with thousands of birds nesting in the salt bushes and seals playfully frolicking along the shore. If you are lucky, you may see a short eared owl after climbing Prince Phillip's Steps. The arid interior is teaming with birds and clouds of diverse species can be seen swooping overhead.
