Fagnano & Escondido Lakes

Join an exhilarating 4wd road adventure today to head to the beautiful area around Lakes Fagnano and Escondido. Drive from Ushuaia along Ruta 3 that runs along a part of the southern mountain range and leads to Garibaldi Pass. Your first stop is a dramatic look out point over Escondido and Fagnano Lakes. Then descend down the valley and follow an old woodcutters off road trail with the 4wd vehicle able to access remote pristine areas. Arrive at the shores of beautiful Lake Fagnano and enjoy a typical asado (barbeque) lunch after a short hike around the forest. After lunch, the 4wd adventure continues to Lake Escondido or Hidden Lake, another really beautiful natural landscape. Here you have a chance to canoe on the lake if you wish before heading back to the city by road.
