Excursion Overview
The Discovery Passage is a fantastic spot to enjoy outdoor activities, with Campbell River serving as the starting point for a range of wildlife trips. Whales are best seen from mid-July to the end of August, while grizzly bears are more commonly spotted from late August to late October, when they hunt for spawning salmon in the rivers. That said, wildlife and a variety of bird species can be observed throughout the summer, making a day out on the water worthwhile, even just to take in the stunning scenery.
Fishing is another popular pastime in the area, particularly salmon fishing, which is excellent during the summer months. Fishing must be done with a licensed guide, but this can be easily arranged locally.

First class. This was the 2nd time I’ve used Holiday Architects - they are absolutely excellent. We have just returned from a perfect trip to Canada to travel and visit friends which Paul Turner brought together excellently.
